NEWS

Big news suggests that the Premier League may be back sooner rather than later.

It is being widely reported that government have declared that from June 1st, it could be possible for the league to return with games behind closed doors. A statement released on Monday afternoon stated:

"cultural and sporting events (can) take place behind closed-doors for broadcast, while avoiding the risk of large-scale social contact."

Great news as a step forward!!

It now leaves the 20 Premier League clubs to agree on terms.....

For more details, see the article below:

Other leagues around Europe:

* Germany: The Bundesliga looks set to return this weekend (16th, 17th May)

* Italy and Spain are both nearing a return, with early-mid June the earliest likely return dates.

“The new Los Campos CHALLENGE”

We came across a game played by Jamie Redknapp and Virgil van Dijk during a Sky Sports interview, and thought that would be the basis for this week's challenge...

We have taken their challenge, but adapted it to make it more difficult...and also to use our feet, since we are a football club...

Rules are as follows:

* Take 5 shots consecutively to aim for a target -

* Socks in the laundry basket, paper in a recycling bin...anything, into anything (as long as it is safe!!)

* Use your heads, shoulders knees or toes (knees or toes);

* From the ground, from your hands, or assisted by someone else;

* Recreate your favourite 1-touch goal/s, or 5 of your own!!

Tips for success:

The winner will be the best video, not necessarily the most successful

* Spruce it up with an intro;

* Challenge a teammate to do better;

* Get creative with objects, obstacles, or techniques

The week's best video will win a £10 voucher of your choice, plus a place on our Instagram feed
